What Is It?

Lightmoves, in conjunction with Drama Victoria, are excited to announce the launch of the new 'Lighting Resource Kit'.

Available exclusively to members of Drama Victoria, the resource kit is a valuable educational tool to teach students all the basics associated with the art and the science of lighting.

The Lighting Resource Kit contains the following items:

1 x LSC MINIM DMX Lighting Desk

1 x Theatrelight comet 610 six-channel DMX Dimmer

2 x Prolite 600w Profiles.

8 x Par 56 Par Cans

2 x T stands

2 x Floor stands

1 x Smoke Machine

A wide variety of gobos, colour filters and all required cables and clamps.

 

A Valuable Teaching Resource

With support from Drama Victoria and suppliers LSC and Prolite, Lightmoves are able to offer the use of this kit to members of Drama Victoria for the duration of seven days, ABSOLUTELY FREE. On top of this, we will also provide the school with a detailed lesson plan highlighting the relevant and necessary areas to cover when teaching lighting. Lighting education is something that we take very seriously at Lightmoves. Being that we deal with Lighting Designers and Operators on a regular basis, teaching students correct techniques and practices now can only be beneficial for us in the future when they grow up and work in the industry.

Conditions?

There are a few small conditions.

  • Only available to members of Drama Victoria
  • The Kit may only be used for a total of seven (7) days
  • It is the responsibility of the school to pick up and return the kit
  • This offer is only available to each school once in a calendar year
  • Any damage or blown lamp costs are the responsibility of the school.
  • The contents of the kit are subject to change or substitution.

Of course you are interested! This is a fantastic opportunity to bring a hands-on, technical aspect to your drama class. Along with our detailed lesson plan, we will also include an instruction manual for the gear, so even those who would not normally be able to teach lighting, can now do so comfortably. The only problem? We only have one Kit and will be operating on a "First in-First Served" basis, so if you are interested in securing your chance at this resource, you would be advised to get in fast!
