Lightmoves would like to congratulate all the winners at the 2007 Master Builders of Victoria Excellence in Construction Awards. Of the winners, Lightmoves was involved with the following projects:
Locks Constructions won the award for Commercial Building Under $5 Million, for Brambuck – The National Parks and Cultural Centre, Halls Gap. This very significant project that celebrates the five Koori communities with links to the ranges was designed by Architect Wendy Hastrich, with Lightmoves supplying Lighting Control and Architectural Display Lighting.
Hansen Yuncken received a special commendation in the Commercial Buildings $30 Million to $80 Million category for the Council House 2 (CH2) building, designed by Architects Design Inc. Lightmoves supplied the Dynalite Lighting Control and Energy Sustainability system which heavily contributed to the building receiving the country’s first 6 Star Green Energy Rating. (More on CH2)
Regional Commercial Builder Of The Year went to S J Weir, for the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts. The 900 seat multi-purpose auditorium was designed by McIldowie & Brown, with Lightmoves supplying Lighting control as well as the Lighting and A/V Infrastructure for the auditorium.
The major award for the night was the Master Builder Of The Year – Commercial Buildings over $80 Million, which was awarded to Leighton Contractors for the now iconic Southern Cross Station redevelopment. Lightmoves supplied 14 platforms of complex Lighting Control to this monumental project.
