Busy times for Resolution X

Resolution X have certainly kept their equipment working hard recently.
First up was the Premier Launch After Party for the movie Swordfish held in Melbourne Exhibition Centre. The theme for the party was an industrial warehouse ambiance as illustrated in the photographs on this page. Lighting included 16 x Clay Paky Pinscans, 4 x Clay Paky Stage Color 300, 8 x Clay Paky Stage Light 300, 4 x Clay Paky Miniscan HPE, 9 x Beacons, 2 x Jem ZR 31, 2 x Jem DMX Stage Haze, 2 x Jem AF1 High Power Fan, 2 x Studio Due CityColors and 11 x Geni Shimmers.
"We were able to get some really big looks out of the gear we used despite the fact that the gear was spread quite thinly throughout the venue," said lighting designer Tim Hall.
Tim was also responsible for lighting the pre-match entertainment at the Australian Wallabies vs Britain Lions Rugby held at Colonial Stadium. For this he used 8 x Studio Due CityColors, 16 x Clay Paky Stage Light 300, and 1 x Martin Case Pro 1.
"We had to light five stages and provide effects," said Tim. "The equipment was mounted on four electric carts that we drove out onto the ground.
Each cart had 4 x Clay Paky Stage Light 300's and 2 x Studio Due CityColors mounted on them. The CityColors provided the bulk of the lighting."
Resolution X recently supplied Clay Paky lighting equipment to Circus Oz for their Melbourne season at Melbourne Town Hall. Lighting designer Gina Gascoigne used 2 x Clay Paky Goldenscan II, 10 x Clay Paky Goldenscan HPE and 1 x Clay Paky VIP DIA Effects Projector.
"The comment that came back from Circus Oz was that it was nice to use gear that did not continually need to be fixed throughout the season," said Tim.
